888 has announced that Itai Pazner will no longer serve as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
According to iGaming news website iGB, Pazner will be replaced by the operator’s non-executive Chairman, Lord Mendelsohn, on an interim basis, until a replacement is found.
Pazner, who spent 20 years with 888, was appointed CEO in January 2019, where he led the business through the acquisition and merger of William Hill in July 2022.
888’s former CEO also oversaw expansion of the company across the North American market – in the United States and in Canada.
In comments following the announcement, Lord Mendelsohn thanked Pazner for his work over the past two decades, including the last four years as CEO.
Mendehlson added that Pazner played a very important role in building 888, and that in his role the process that merged 888 with William Hill commenced successfully.Â
