Marcel Elfersy has been appointed Gaming Innovation Group’s (GiG) new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Elfersy’s past experiences include serving as 888’s business development Vice-President.
GiG’s new CCO, who was also CEO for Impala Digital (Entain’s African joint venture), greatly helped in growing 888’s B2B business.
GiG is expecting Elfersy’s past iGaming experience to help their sales and commercial team, and to expand globally in regulated markets.
In a statement reacting to Elfersy’s appointment as CCO, GiG’s CEO Richard Brown spoke about the way the company was going to keep on emphasising on the way it can improve itself.
Brown said that Elfersy’s new role is a huge step forward for the company.
Meanwhile, Elfersy commented on how impressed he was with how GiG grew and developed in recent years, and that he was very excited about joining the team and helping them grow.
While Elfersy left 888 for his new role as CCO, earlier in December 888 hired digital expert Anna Barsby as their new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) to oversee the technical integration between online casinos 888 Casino and William Hill.
Barsby made the move from business management consultancy Tessiant – a company she founded in 2020, where she also served as managing partner.
