Gaming provider 888 William Hill has announced that it has named Phil Walker as its new UK and Ireland Managing Director effective immediately, according to a report by iGaming news website iGB.
In a reaction following the announcement, Walker expressed his joy at starting his new position as UK and Ireland Managing Director at 888 William Hill.
Walker, who has been with William Hill since 2019, previously served as their Managing Director for the UK.
Following the acquisition that led to 888 and William Hill merging last year, Walker’s role was expanded to comprise the company’s operations in the UK and Ireland.
Walker’s experience includes a role as William Hill’s Online Managing Director upon joining them.
Apart from his William Hill experience, Walker also occupied a number of roles with Gala Interactive. There, he served as their Marketing and Customer Operations Director, and Managing Director within the company’s Remote Gambling division.
This is not the only change in personnel 888 and William Hill have experienced over the past month.
Earlier this year, Naama Kushnir stepped down as 888’s Chief Transformation Officer after only 9 months to become an independent consultant.
While last December, 888’s business development Vice-President, Marcel Elfersy left to become Gaming Innovation Group’s new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), earlier in the same month, 888 hired digital expert Anna Barsby as their new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO).
Barsby’s appointment came after 888 declared it would integrate William Hill’s non-US assets, which include Mr Green.
