888 director and Head of 888poker business development, Doron Ziony, has announced that he will step down from his role after 12 years working in the poker-related field.
Ziony joined 888 in September 2010, where he started off as a poker room manager.
In May 2014, he was promoted to Manager of live events, online shop, and ambassadors – a role he occupied until 2022.
In May 2022, Ziony was appointed Head of 888poker business development. Seven months later, he took on a director role at 888.
In comments written on a LinkedIn post, Ziony praised both his colleagues and the company’s achievements during his time at 888poker.
Ziony also wrote that he had the honour of completely building 888LIVE’s circuit, which as Europe’s prestigious live event series, has attracted the biggest poker players worldwide.
Who joined and who left 888?
Over the past four months, there have been a number of 888 employees who have resigned, or are planning on stepping down from their roles.
Last February, 888 announced that their Chief Financial Officer, Yariv Dafna, will step down from his role at the end of this year.
Among those who joined 888’s team, Phil Walker was named Managing Director for 888’s UK and Ireland markets in January, while Anna Barsby joined the company as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) last December.Â
In January 2023, Naama Kushnir stepped down as 888’s Chief Transformation Officer after only 9 months in the role.Â
888’s business development Vice-President, Marcel Elfersy left the company to join Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) in December 2022.
